Ashton windmill

Ashton windmill, on the Isle of Wedmore, about 50m above sea levels but will commanding views. The earliest mention of a windmill on this site was in 1371.

The carpet of buttercups is a regular mid-spring feature. Crook Peak is framed by the trees and the top of Wavering Down appears on the skyline beyond the steps.
